Extension to add 60m Band
This is the redesigned version which reduces weight by 25%. It is also anti-snag with no protruding bolts unlike the original design. The coil winding is protected from abrasion by a thick but clear heat shrink. Weight is about 43 grams.
The 60m band is a popular band used by Summits on the Air (SOTA) activators and chasers for close in contacts. This extension extends the antenna to make it a half wave on 60m. The extension is about 9.5 feet long and uses a coil to shorten the overall antenna length from 89 feet to 75.5 feet. The extension is usually tuned with a base antenna. If ordered separately - will be shipped on the long side and one will need to prune it to resonance into the band.
